Make qualification reproducible, scoped and falsifiable.
A useful quality system should tell you exactly what was checked, against which bytes, and what a failure means. It should also make it difficult to create a green result by weakening the check.
Source identity first
RuleOak uses deterministic archives, manifests and hashes to bind qualification to exact source. When decision-critical source changes, the prior evidence is not silently reused as if nothing changed.
Layered evidence
Static / source
Syntax, schema, policy, licensing, documentation truth, manifests, source hygiene and architecture contracts.
Executable
Unit/integration tests, adversarial fixtures, deterministic simulations, benchmarks and packaging checks.
Native / environment
Platform compilation, installed behavior, accessibility, lifecycle, permissions and environment-specific resilience.
External / deployment
Store acceptance, real distribution, production identifiers, hosted settings, public attestations and observed operation.
Destructive checks matter
A validator that only passes the correct artifact can still be weak. Where practical, RuleOak qualification includes mutation/destructive fixtures that deliberately break required invariants and confirm that the gate fails for the right reason.
Determinism and replay
Packaging and evidence are designed so another run can compare path, byte, mode and fingerprint identity. A deterministic package is not a security certification, but it materially improves provenance and debugging.
No false green
If a native toolchain, device, network service or store cannot be reached, the correct result is pending/not-run—not PASS. This distinction is carried into public release language.
